Wonderful from the host greeting who sat me at a deuce which was looking both outside and inside, allowing both atmospheres which felt just comfortable enough for even a single person. (Nikki- my wait person ) who gave expert service and allowed for enough space in between dishes to breathe. I thoroughly enjoyed and they earned my next visit.

We stopped in after a sporting event at the University of Vermont. The service was fantastic. It's a quaint restaurant with farm to table seasonal food that was awesome! I would highly recommend stopping into May Day!

Loved it here. Service was awesome. I appreciated that the server poured a taste of wine for glass-sized portions so we could confirm what we liked. We had the mussels and panzanella as starters followed by the swordfish and the steak frites. Everything was outstanding. We had several different wines by the glass all of which were delicious. The whipped ricotta in the panzanella, the sauce with the swordfish, and the butter and fries with the steak were so so great. Nice place!!

Food was over the top delicious - our server was attentive and easy to talk with - the ambience was clean, open air - fun vibe. We loved everything about it!

We had a great experience at May Day! I had a mocktail and my partner had a cocktail to start--both were quite tasty. They have a good number of N/A options (even beers). The atmosphere is open, bright, and inviting. Service was awesome--super friendly and attentive. The food was good but I have hopes that some items on the menu are even better. We happened to go on hot dog night and ordered all three options. They were creative and tasty but not blow your socks off good. We also wanted a little more snap--they were pretty soft. Still good, but there's some room for improvement. We also ordered the zucchini, which was again good but not amazing. The best part was the single friend squash blossom. I honestly would have ordered an entire plate of those with the zucchini puree as a dipping sauce--no need for the sautéed zucchini here. Either way, we would absolutely go back and try other menu items.

I absolutely loved my experience dining at Mayday this week! We got quite a spread- Panzanella, their zucchini dish, the mushroom tagliatelle, and the tremolo bread with house cultured butter. All of it was delicious, but the tagliatelle stole the show for sure. It was so rich and flavorful, although the Panzanella was a close second. The fresh peaches particularly struck me! Our server was incredibly friendly, as well as the host, and checked on us often and provided excellent recommendations. The place itself was very clean and well-organized, and overall was a wonderful experience. The only negatives I have to share are the food was a bit on the expensive side and portions could've been larger, but the nature of this fine dining cuisine is understandable for both.,.,

Menu is different. More traditional American classics. Good but much less creative/innovative. Still good but different. Service is polite, place is comfy.

The food was OMG delicious! We had several small plates and they were all delicious. The drinks were top notch and service was spectacular and not just from our waiter but everyone right down to the Chef and top staff all checked on us to make sure we were all good. Made us feel real special my new best restaurant in town!! The staff all were engaged to make it a successful experience!! The vibe was up beat and inviting!! My new place to take visiting friends and family

Unreal food experience. I was recently in Burlington and this place blew me away. I had no idea what I was walking into. I sat at the bar night one. I couldn't wait to go back so I did, the next night. Everything on the menu was dialed. Good vibe, good staff, good times.

This place has it all. Great atmosphere. Great service. Phenomenal food. Amazing cocktails. The chef was nominated for a James Beard award. I need to go back to try everything else on the menu. It all looked good.
